Technician (USA)


The Technician role is full-time and is responsible for testing, upgrading and repairing capital equipment for customer installations. This person plays a critical role in helping customers develop a first impression of the company based on the quality and performance of their received equipment. Traveling may be needed and having a professional attitude coupled with good interpersonal skills are required. This person will also become very knowledgeable about the equipment and help customers and service personnel troubleshoot issues over the phone. Finally, this individual will be expected to wear multiple hats, on occasion, such as helping with manufacturing and inventory management activities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and test consoles per procedures
  • Troubleshoot consoles that fail to meet performance expectations and collaborate with operations and engineering teams for solutions
  • Upgrade, rework or repair consoles per documented procedures 
  • Pack consoles per procedure and coordinate shipment to ensure timely delivery
  • Order parts for installation kits, repairs and preventative maintenance 
  • Coordinate device installation, maintenance, upgrades and repair activities with service engineers
  • Oversee plumbing installations and successfully install consoles at customer sites if needed
  • Educate customers on how to use and maintain their console
  • Provide customer or third party technical support as required
  • Perform preventative maintenance on consoles as required
  • Complete service reports and records for work performed 
  • Explain service performed or repairs made to customers as required 
  • Oversee any rework or relabeling for products 
  • Over inventory levels and alert internal team of any issues or replenishment needs
  • Coordinate product shipments as necessary
  • Perform other duties required


  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
  • Working knowledge of basic electronic test equipment and hand tools
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable following instructions to perform device software upgrades
  • Ability to collaborate with remote field service engineers
  • Strong productive work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively manage time

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience as a Technician, Electronic Assembler or Mechanical Assembler
  • Authorized to work in the United States 
  • Valid driver's license or passport 

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 50 lbs (occasionally)

Work Schedule

  • Able to work inside the office and in the field as needed
  • Able to travel as required
  • Able to work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, but actual hours may vary
